There was time when people in Detroit used to believe that one must have a popular version of SUV whether it performs well or not. But, time changed, situation has changed also. General Motors took the initiative for the modification of its models and here comes the newborn from the Cadillac line, the Cadillac SRX. It had to invest quite a lot of thought into itself as it entered the arena with Lexus RX, Audi Q-5, Acura MDX, the high-powered BMW X-5 and Porsche Cayenne.
From the outside perspective, the SRX has a close similarity with the Lexus RX. But this edition of Cadillacs has modified itself from various sectors. A highly capacited aluminum V-6 engine engine is an added benefit to the SRX. Though the pick up of SRX is little bit slower than the other in the category, once it starts moving, it gets charged soon to reach the triple digit mark on the speedometer.
Technical & Mechanical specification will snatch the attention of car lovers as it has six-speed automatic transmission with a smooth-shifting, electronic manual mode and all wheel drive.
Ed Welburn, the artist in charge of GM’s crayons, put a lot of thought into the riding experience. Upon entering, the first thing you notice is the wide, double sun roof which opens the interior to the sky and adds both light and a feeling of spaciousness that makes the SRX feel larger than it actually is.
From every perspective, the all new SRX, will satisfy the car lovers. Excellent interior decoration, utmost comfort, latest entertainment enhancements will strike the traditional mindset of buyers.
For a top level SUV, GM has offered a lot for $51,000 undoubtedly. But 2012 Cadillac SRX has to go a long way for staying ahead from its competitors.
