The main aim of GLOBAL excursion is to introduce e infrastructures to educators and pupils. Through the GLOBAL Virtual Science Hub – “ViSH”, it will provide scientists, policy makers, pupils and their teachers a package of activities, materials and tools for enabling the integration of e infrastructures into school curricula. ViSH will contain a selection of e infrastructures, a social network where scientists, teachers and pupils will be able to exchange and establish collaborations, and a virtual excursion room, where pupils will experience real e-science applications in areas of high relevance for the future, such as nano- and biotechnologies volunteer computing and life sciences.
In this light, GLOBAL excursion is looking for dynamic, motivated and creative teachers to help us in testing, further development and dissemination of ViSH. EUN is thus looking for five (5) Science or Technology teachers from each of the following 5 countries:
Austria Belgium Hungary Spain United Kingdom
to join the project as GLOBAL excursion teachers.
Main task of GLOBAL excursion Teachers:
Test and evaluate ViSH by providing their feedback and comments to the partners. Your input will be used for the further development of ViSH which you will be asked to evaluate further and possibly use within your class.
